Classes
These are one of the cornerstones of the Centre's operations.
Scores of students benefit from regular weekly training
in classical South Asian dance and music. A range of classes are
available from beginners to advanced level and most students
now follow the ISTD syllabus leading to a respected and
well-recognised qualification.
Workshops
In addition to regular weekly training, students have
the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest classical
exponents in the field during the summer and autumn seasons.
These workshops are normally open to more experienced
dancers and musicians, but all are welcome to observe the experience
of a masterclass in session.
Performances
The Centre organises and supports showcase performances
providing a platform for young dancers and musicians in
the East Midlands region. It also has a long history of
creating feature-length, large-scale dance productions.
