Vividh

Milap
Nilima Devi and Priya Pawar, two of the UK's most renowned dance exponents of Kathak and Odissi presented the dance double-bill Milap with live musical accompaniment from some of the UK's most respected classical Indian musicians.

Weaving together rhythmic improvisation, poetry and mythological stories combined with spectacular expressive movements choreographed in a duet form, Milap articulately illustrated the subtle aesthetic distinctions between these two magical classical dance styles from North and Eastern India.

Gala of Indian Dance and Music
